Term Limits for Jim Forbes
A peaceful transfer of trophies.
Jim Forbes has won repeatedly. He has rallied alone in an MG. While other teams are still dividing the responsibilities of driving, navigating, and finding a pen, Jim is already demonstrating that none of those people were necessary.
This level of competence has gone unchecked for too long.
A fair chance for the rest of America.
Lang/Milo will establish a two-win limit, followed by a mandatory period in which somebody else gets a turn. Jim may continue to participate. He may continue to arrive in a car old enough to collect Social Security. He must, however, allow the trophy to circulate.
Close the vehicle loophole.
A different car does not constitute a new administration. Changing from an MG to an Edsel will not reset the clock. Neither will entering under “squirrel.” Our term limits will follow the driver.
Defend the right to need help.
Solo rallying has placed unreasonable expectations on teams that require two adults to interpret a road sign. We will defend their right to remain competitive without becoming as capable as Jim Forbes.
America has produced many great rally participants. It is time to find out who the others are.
Rally record: Lemons on Jim’s repeat wins · Solo MG rally account · Edsel build and “squirrel”
