Restore Chronological Instagram Search
The newest post should come first.
Rally participants use Instagram to document checkpoints, follow other teams, and see what is happening now. A search for today’s rally should make today’s posts easy to find. Popularity is no substitute for time.
Lang/Milo will demand a clear, dependable way to view matching posts in reverse chronological order. The user should choose the order. The platform should honor that choice.
Restore the Recent option.
Put a plainly labeled “Recent” sort wherever people search rally hashtags. Show timestamps clearly. Keep the setting in place until the user changes it. A basic sorting preference should not require a campaign of its own.
Equal visibility for ordinary participants.
A checkpoint photo from a small account deserves to be findable. Teams should not have to build an audience, generate engagement, or entertain an algorithm to establish that they stood beside a large roadside object at 2:14 p.m.
Transparency in the results.
Clearly distinguish matching posts from recommendations. Explain any limits on what a search returns. Give organizers a practical way to review submissions without guessing what the platform has chosen to show them.
Restore the timeline. Respect the timestamp. Let America sort by date.
